Just had the 300g Scotch Fillet with peppercorn sauce, salad and chips. Absolutely scrumptious and I'll be back to try everything else on their menu. Ordered my steak medium rare and it was beautifully cooked to perfection. In fact, I'll go as far as saying it was the best steak I've had in a very long while and is every bit worthy of a 10/10 rating all round. Good vibe, good atmosphere and very impressive bar with a good selection of food on the menu and choice of drinks.

Still great!
The Melbourne Central Lion Hotel has been around as long as Melbourne Central and the food is still as good. We came on steak night and was not disappointed. I ordered the steak medium rare and it was cooked perfectly, still a bit tender and red. The salad was nicely dressed and the right amount of chips. The pepper was was also very nice.
I remember having a parma many years ago and the food was great then too. It's great to see that the standards have been kept up all these years.
Recommended and I'll be back again.
